First, it's crushed into smaller pieces.The crushed ore then passes through X-ray sorting machines, which detect diamonds based on their fluorescence.Dense media separation uses heavy liquids to separate diamonds from other minerals based on their density.The diamond recovery rate is remarkably low. Typically, two hundred and fifty tons of ore yield only one carat of diamond.The recovered rough diamonds then undergo cutting and polishing. Master craftsmen carefully analyze each stone to determine the optimal cut.Through precise cutting and polishing, rough diamonds are transformed into brilliant gemstones.
