Meet Guided Chatting on StudyFetch

Today, we're launching Guided Chatting on StudyFetch. Tell Spark.E what you want to learn, and it builds you a plan, then walks you through it step by step, taking you through activities on StudyFetch. It shapes that plan around how you like to study and around the Learn Engine, which already knows the paths that worked for students who studied the same topic before you, so what you get is the route that has actually helped people get through this exact material.

The real shift is that the chat drives the StudyFetch platform now. Spark.E sends you into real activities and pulls you back, carrying the context the whole way. It knows where you are in a flashcard deck or a quiz, it can flip your flashcards for you, and it opens whatever activity comes next, so the chat is running your study tools rather than sitting next to them.

You tell it what you want to learn

Open Chat, flip the toggle to Guided, and tell Spark.E your goal. Something like "help me study allele and genotype frequencies," and it puts together a plan for that topic using your materials and what it knows about how you study.

If you're not sure what to study, Spark.E suggests some options off your study path and the materials you have uploaded.

You're in control of the plan before anything starts. Accept it as is, ask for changes, or add and remove steps yourself.

Every step opens the right activity

Once you accept the plan, each step opens the activity for you. Spark.E drops you straight into the flashcards, then the quiz, then the test, in the order that makes sense for what you're learning.

Stuck on a question? Ask Spark.E right there. It reads what's on your screen first, gives you a hint instead of the answer, and once it clicks, you keep going. 

You set the pace the whole way. After each step you can stay and keep working or move on. Spark.E only advances when you're ready.

It learns how you learn

The more you use it, the better it gets at studying the way you study. Guided Chat is built on our Learn Engine, which tracks what you actually understand and which kinds of activities help you get there. If you learn best from practice tests and interactives, your future plans lean that way. If flashcards and audio recaps do more for you, it leans that way instead.

It's measuring mastery, not just time spent, so the plans it builds get more personal over time. Every session teaches it a little more about what works for you, and it uses that to build the next one.
