As water evaporates, it leaves behind impurities, creating pure water vapor.As more and more water vapor rises into the cooler atmosphere, it begins its journey upward, setting the stage for the next phase of the water cycle.As water vapor rises higher in the atmosphere, it encounters progressively cooler temperatures.The water vapor molecules, which were moving quickly in warmer air, begin to slow down as they reach cooler temperatures.As the molecules slow down, they come closer together, clustering into tiny water droplets.These water droplets continue to cluster together, forming visible clouds at different altitudes.In the coldest regions of the atmosphere, water droplets can freeze into ice crystals, creating different types of clouds.Different types of clouds form at various altitudes, from low-lying stratus clouds to high-altitude cirrus clouds made of ice crystals.These clouds will continue to grow until they're ready to release their moisture back to Earth.When clouds become heavy with water droplets or ice crystals, they begin to release their moisture.When water reaches the ground, some of it soaks into the soil, becoming groundwater.This groundwater feeds wells and springs, providing a crucial source of fresh water.The remaining water flows through streams and rivers, eventually making its way back to the oceans.This completes the water cycle, nature's perfect system for recycling and distributing water across our planet.Thanks for learning about the water cycle with Spark.E!
