Welcome to our lesson about decimal numbers!Decimal numbers allow us to represent values between whole numbers.Let's look at the number three point seven five as an example.A decimal number consists of two parts: the whole number part and the decimal part, separated by a comma or point.Let's look more closely at the area between three and four. Each position after the decimal point has a specific value. The first position represents tenths, the second hundredths. We can write decimal numbers in different ways. For example, one point five equals one plus five tenths. Two point two five equals two plus twenty-five hundredths. And three point seven five equals three plus seventy-five hundredths.
