Welcome to the animation workspace. This is where all your creative work will take place. On the left, we have the layers panel, where you'll organize all your animation elements. At the bottom is your timeline, the control center of your animation. It displays frames from left to right. The playhead shows your current position in the timeline. As it moves, you'll see different frames of your animation.Let's set up our composition with professional settings. We'll use a full HD resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. This resolution gives us a wide canvas to work with. The blue guide shows our composition boundaries. We'll set our frame rate to 30 frames per second, which means thirty individual images will be shown each second. With a ten-second duration, our timeline will contain three hundred frames total. You can navigate your workspace using the playhead, zoom in on the timeline, and organize your layers. With our workspace properly set up, we're ready to start creating animations. To create our first keyframe animation, we'll start with a simple square shape. The timeline shows our frames, with each marker representing 10 frames. At 30 frames per second, 60 frames equals 2 seconds of animation. To set our first keyframe, we click the stopwatch icon, which tells the software to remember the shape's position. Now we move to frame 60, which is where we want our animation to end.We drag our shape to its final position on the right side of the screen.By default, the motion between keyframes is linear. But we can make it more natural using something called Easy Ease.Let's compare linear motion to eased motion. First, here's linear movement:And now with Easy Ease applied, notice how the movement feels more natural:With our keyframes set and Easy Ease applied, our simple animation is complete. Now that we have our basic animation, let's enhance it with colors and effects.First, let's add a fill color to our shape. Click the fill color swatch and choose a nice blue shade.Next, let's give it a bold red outline to make it stand out.Now we'll add a rotation effect. This will make our animation more dynamic. We can also add scaling effects to make the shape grow and shrink.Opacity changes can add subtle transitions to your animation. The timeline shows your keyframes and helps you control the timing of these effects. As you play back your animation, the playhead moves across the timeline, showing how your effects combine. When all these effects are combined, they create a more engaging and professional-looking animation.
